(Grades 4 & Up) Word problems come alive as questions and answers zip around the classroom! “Who has 5 + 6?” triggers another student’s response of “I have 11. Who has 6 times 4, minus 1?” Play continues through 32 cards and returns to the beginning.
Players can be assigned as many cards as the size of the group requires. Features four levels of play and cycles. Switching among levels keeps everyone involved. Zip Around is a great way to develop oral speaking and listening skills while practicing math. Can be played with the entire class, in small groups, or as solitaire. Set A covers word problems involving basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts such as 7 plus 4, minus 3; half of 10; and double 12, minus 1.
