Free "Daily Chores Chart"! October 17 2009

Here's a free "Daily Chores Chart".

grrrbuzzIt can be helpful to post this chart in the kitchen or in your child's bedroom.

A chart can help the child and parent keep track of important daily tasks. (We also have a tooth brushing chart.)

As a parent and teacher, I've found that many young children enjoy helping out. If I use the time during the chore to talk, be positive and have fun, the child enjoys it... Most of the time.  Depending upon the age of the child and attention span, the number of chores can vary. Starting with 2 chores a day is a good start.

  • Make bed
  • Feed the dog
  • Take out the garbage
  • Water the plants
  • Help empty out the dishwasher (e.g. Hand mom the dishes.)
  • Help with dinner
  • Set the table

Hey, maybe parents can fill one out, too. :)
